Reviews
Atmosphere is alright. Not authentic food. Pretty regular stuff. Tried chefs special which was not at all special.
Good place for dinner! I like the atmosphere and the service. I tried the butter chicken and it was really tasty, pea pilau was amazing with full of flavours and they have many vegetarian options. I would like to come back and try a different dish. Price around $25-$40 pp depends on what do you want to drink.
Restaurant set off the Main Street (King WIlliam Road). Monday night for dinner. Staff were warm and friendly and happy to answer any questions.
Serving sizes look small but are very filling. Enjoyed all of our meals. Plenty of flavour and spice if you want it. No children’s menu which is a little annoying but the waiter was happy to give a couple of suggestions to use. This is the second time I have being to this restaurant now and I’m pretty sure there will be a third some time in the future.
WOW what a great dining experience. From the moment we walked in the door. Service and atmosphere fantastic. Then the food came. We were a party of 4, each had a different main. Each dish was exceptional. Servings were huge, and taste was divine.
Will certainly be back. Thank you for the best Indian I have had in ages. Would give 6 stars if I could. Highly recommended.
King William Rd, Hyde Park restaurant. We have our usual fave Indian Restaurant, but thought we'd try this one for something different on Father's Day. Got seated in the outside area which didn't have a very good atmosphere at all. Very loud and people rushing in & out of the entrance all night. Staff seemed to be running around frantically, as we tried to get their attention. We asked about the 'Fathers Day Special Banquet' as there was no price on the actual advertising menu, very odd! Finally got the attention of a staff member and she had no clue how much the banquet was?? Another staff member said $60 per head, which we thought was ridiculous for what was on offer (maybe he didn't know either?).. Ignored that and went on to order individual dishes. Serves were very small. Food was OK but nothing special.. Service was very average. Will be returning to our usual Indian.
Such a beautiful restaurant with quality service and AMAZING food. I’ve never left a Raj on Taj disappointed. The quality of the food is sensational, and not overly priced. The kitchen will cater to your spice liking for any dish (mild, medium or hot). One of the biggest standouts is the cheesy garlic naan. You cannot pass this up!
Tasty food n reasonably priced but grossly understaffed. Waited for 25 mins for dinner on a Sunday - along with quite a few others waiting for their takeaways!
Only 3 tables when we were there n they couldn’t cope already.
Tip - try not to sit next to the door- got a cold rush of air every time someone opened it which was every 10-15 mins…
This review was for the Unley branch on Unley Road
We couldn’t sit on the other table cos the waitress didn’t have time to clear it..
Sorry for giving 0star for food. I think management prefers quantity over quality. The curries I ordered was pre-packaged commercially made curry base and vegetables just toasted with that gravy. Excellent set-up and not bad service however really terrible curry base. Can't recommend this place if someone is looking for good food.
